General Education brings together many separate areas of learning, yet it is more than just a collection of specialized disciplines--it provides a solid foundation for study in the major. The SJSU General Education (GE) Program incorporates the development of basic skills and the acquisition and critical examination of a wide body of knowledge. Regardless of major, all SJSU undergraduates share this fundamental educational experience as they progress toward the bachelor's degree.
