CPT/OPT Resources

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is a temporary employment authorization for F-1 international students who are currently pursuing a program of study at SJSU, want to gain practical training in their major fields of study, or their Academic Department requires students in that degree program to complete an internship in order to graduate. CPT may be authorized for a paid or unpaid position. Before a student can begin working, they will need to receive an updated I-20 with CPT authorization from ISSS.
