SJSU Class of 2020 Major: Microbiology Minor: Bioinformatics

I pursued the Bioinformatics minor because I was fascinated by tools that allowed me to rapidly generate and analyze biological data. Navigating the interdisciplinary nature of bioinformatics was challenging, but it is very rewarding to see it all come together! The minor definitely played a pivotal role in my ability to land a position as a scientist at a biotech company.
