SJSU Class of 2019 Major: Sociology Minor: Applied Computing for Behavioral and Social Sciences

I took the minor because I knew it was important to keep up with the ever-changing tech environment. I didn’t know what to expect at first, but it was really rewarding to learn skills that I had no prior education in. The minor made coding and engineering feel less intimidating and solidified my belief that coding can be accessible for everyone! I now work as a Human Resources Tech Partner, and a lot of the skills I need to be successful in this role were built in my Applied Computing courses.
