In accordance with university policy, S16-8, Selection and Review of Administrators, a review committee will be appointed to solicit feedback from the campus community.

As such, I am seeking nominations to serve on this very important committee. The review committee shall be composed of faculty, staff, student, administrators or community representatives as outlined below. Please consider this opportunity or nominate a colleague to serve. Nominees must be available to serve on this committee through the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

Four faculty librarians selected by and from the faculty librarians; one department chair from outside the library; one faculty member (not a chair) from outside the library. The outside faculty members should be nominated by their colleagues on campus but elected by the Library faculty.

Two staff positions from the Library
Library staff can self-nominate or be nominated by others. A Library-wide staff election will be conducted for the staff representatives to serve on the committee.

One student position
Faculty and staff from the Library shall nominate students. The provost shall appoint one student representative from among those nominated.

One dean position
The provost shall appoint one dean representative from outside the Library.

One community or SJSU administrator (MPP) position
Employees of the Library are encouraged to nominate a community representative or SJSU administrator. Nominees should have experience or expertise relevant to one or more of the programs in the Library and who understand our commitment to diversity and inclusion. The provost shall appoint one community representative or SJSU administrator from among those nominated.

Each nomination must include a written statement reflecting their interest and qualifications for serving on the review committee including their perspectives on diversity and inclusion.
